Almond Filling

INGREDIENTS

2 2/3 cups (1 lb 8 oz) almond paste
3 cups (1 lb 8 oz) butter or margarine
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 cups (1 lb 8 oz) sugar, granulated
7 1/2 cups (1 lb 8 oz) bread crumbs, white, soft
1 cup (8 whites) egg, whites
1 1/2 cups (6 oz) flour, wheat, general purpose, sifted

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream almond paste, butter or margarine, salt, and sugar at medium speed in mixer bowl until smooth. Add bread crumbs, egg whites, and flour; blend at low speed. Spread over sheeted dough before make-up.

NOTE: This filling may be used in a variety of sweet dough products.
