Glazed Nut Topping

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup (1 oz) cinnamon, ground
2 cups (8 oz) flour, wheat, general purpose, sifted
1 1/3 tbsp. mace, ground
7/8 cup (4 oz) milk, nonfat, dry
3 1/2 qt. (6 lb 4 oz) sugar, granulated
3 cups (1 lb 8 oz) butter or margarine, melted
2 cups water
1 1/2 qt. (1 lb 8 oz) nuts, unsalted, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Place cinnamon, flour, mace, milk, and sugar in mixer bowl; blend thoroughly. Add butter or margarine and water to dry ingredients; mix at low speed until well blended. Blend in nuts at low speed. Spread on dough before baking.

NOTE: This topping may be used for a variety of sweet dough products.
