INGREDIENTS
6 gal. water
1/2 cup (5 oz) salt
12 lb. macaronni, noodles, or spaghetti
INSTRUCTIONS
Add salt to water; heat to boiling. Stir in macaroni, noodles, or spagehetti. Reheat to boiling. Stir frequently. Cook about 15 minutes or until tender. Stir occasionally. Do not overcook. Drain.
NOTE:
1. If desired, cooked macaroni, noodles, or spaghetti may be seasoned with 1 qt. (2 lb) melted butter.
2. When macaroni, noodles, or spaghetti are to be served with a sauce topping, reheat before placeing on the serving counter in this way: Place the desired quantity in a wire basket and lower into boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes. Drain well. Place in steam-table inserts.
3. Lasagna noodles: Follow steps and use 6 lb. lasagna noodles and 6 tbsp. salad oil. Drain and wash in cold water until they no longer stick together.
