INGREDIENTS
12 oz Shortening
8 oz Brown Sugar
8 oz Sugar, granulated
2 tsp. Vanilla
4 each eggs
20 oz Flour, plain
2 tsp soda
2 tsp salt
24 oz Chocolate chips
16 oz Nuts, chopped (Optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine flour, salt and soda then set flour mixture aside. Cream together sugar and shortening for about 5 minutes on medium speed. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until blended. Add flour mixture and mix on low speed. Add nuts and chocolate chips and mix until blended. Drop on greased baking sheets 1/2 oz per cookie. Bake 10-12 minutes in the oven on 375 degrees.
