Temperature: 350 degrees F. Oven
INGREDIENTS
2 qt. (1 lb 12 oz) flour, wheat pastry, sifted
2 1/4 tbsp. (1 oz) baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp. (1 oz) salt
3 1/2 qt. (3 lb 8 oz) nuts, chopped
1 1/2 qt. (30 eggs) eggs, whole
3 1/2 qt. (5 lb) sugar, brown
2 tbsp. vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
Sift together twice, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add nuts, mix well.
Separate eggs. Combine sugar and egg yolks. Add flour and nut mixture; blend.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add vanilla to egg whites. Fold egg whites into mixture until thoroughly blended. Spread 6 lb batter into well greased pan. Bake 30 minutes. When cool, cut each pan 6 by 18.
