Temperature: 375 degrees F. Oven
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup (4 eggs) eggs, whole, well beaten
2 1/4 cups (1 lb) shortening
2 1/4 cups (1 lb 8 oz) molasses
2 cups water
2 3/4 qt. (2 lb 8 oz) flour, wheat, pastry, sifted
2 1/4 cups (1 lb) sugar, granulated
6 tbsp. (1 3/4 oz) milk, nonfat, dry
1 3/4 tbsp. baking powder
1 2/3 tbsp. baking soda
3 cups (8 oz) coconut, prepared, sweetened, chopped
3 cups (1 lb) raisins, washed, drained
1 qt. (1 lb) nuts, chopped (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Put ingredients in mixer bowl in order listed. Using beater at low speed, mix 2 minutes or until ingredients are thoroughly blended.
Drop about 1 oz of dough per cookie in rows, 4 by 6, on greased pans. Bake 10 minutes.
