Pan Size: 18 by 26-inch sheet Pan
Temperature: 350 degrees F. Oven
INGREDIENTS
200 each (20 lb) frankfurters
1 cup (8 oz) shortening, melted or salad oil
1 3/4 qt. (2 lb 8 oz) onions, dry, finely chopped
1 cup (8 oz) sugar, granulated
2 tbsp. pepper, black
6 tbsp. (1 1/2 oz) mustard, ground
4 tbsp. (1 oz) paprika, ground
1 1/4 cups Worcestershire sauce
4 tbsp. hot sauce
2 qt. (4 lb 8 oz) catsup, tomato
1 qt. vinegar
1 qt. water
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a 3-inch slit in each frankfurter. Place frankfurters in pans, slit side up. Set aside. Saute onions in shortening until light yellow. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Pour 1 3/4 qt sauce over frankfurters in each pan. Bake 30 minutes or until sauce begins to brown.
